CREATOR & FOUNDER OF THE CLEAR SKIN LAB
Robyn Spangler is a pioneering Functional Registered Dietitian and founder of The Clear Skin Lab programs. Her journey began with a personal triumph over psoriasis, eczema, and cystic chin acne, igniting a passionate pursuit to help others conquer chronic skin issues through root cause approaches.
With over a decade of experience in functional nutrition, Robyn has established herself as a leading expert in the field. She's not only transformed countless lives through her private practice but has also made significant contributions to the industry:

FUNCTIONAL DIETITIAN & CLINICAL DIRECTOR
Cassie is a Functional Nutrition Registered Dietitian and Clinical Director at Clear Skin Lab, where she oversees the clinical department and leads a team of 10+ practitioners. She is responsible for clinical quality, practitioner training, and ensuring a high standard of care across all client experiences.
With over a decade of experience in functional and integrative nutrition, Cassie works with women across a range of concerns including skin health, gut health, hormones, fertility, and metabolism. She takes a root-cause, whole-body approach, helping clients understand how different systems in the body connect and influence overall health.
In addition to her clinical work, Cassie has contributed to practitioner education through FNPI, where she reviewed cases and supported clinical decision-making. She has completed advanced training through Next Level Functional Nutrition and is a Certified LEAP Therapist.
When she’s not working, Cassie enjoys spending time with her family and finding new adventures.

Carolyn is a Functional Medicine Registered Dietitian with a Master’s of Science in Human Nutrition and Dietetics, specializing in acne and gut health using a root-cause, holistic approach.
Her passion for functional medicine began through her own journey with inflamed cystic acne and persistent digestive symptoms. After years of conventional approaches that only addressed surface-level symptoms, she found true healing through identifying and correcting underlying imbalances. That experience now shapes the way she cares for her clients.
Carolyn believes symptoms are valuable signals — not inconveniences to suppress. By uncovering root causes and supporting the interconnected systems of the body, she helps clients restore balance and experience sustainable, long-term health.
She is committed to helping clients not only feel better, but understand their bodies deeply. Her approach blends evidence-based nutrition science with personalized, practical strategies designed to create lasting change.
Carolyn fosters a collaborative partnership with her clients, ensuring they feel seen, heard, and empowered while taking an active role in their health transformation.
When she’s not working with clients, you’ll find her spending time outdoors with her husband and pups, experimenting with new baking (especially sourdough) recipes in the kitchen, and traveling to new places to hike and explore.

Abby is a Functional Nutrition Registered Dietitian from St. Louis. Her passion for a whole body, root cause approach to wellness began with her own health journey. From having dealt with the frustration of acne that won’t go away to the overwhelm of trying anything and everything to fix her bloating and reflux, she understands firsthand the challenges her clients face. She loves finding and addressing the root of the symptom and watching her clients thrive! When Abby isn’t working, she is reading fantasy books, exploring coffee shops, or tending to her growing plant family.

For example, as a city girl, Kathryn knows that wellness and health may look different based on environment. Alli is a Functional Diagnostic Nutritionist Practitioner and Licensed Aesthetician born and raised in Texas. She is a Certified Acne Specialist that has 7+ years of experience in treating acne. Her passion comes from her own personal struggles with chronic symptoms of acne, bloating, and anxiety. After many years of struggling with no results, she knew there had to be deeper answers to her health, this led her to functional medicine and a root cause approach. She believes treating skin conditions take a whole body approach, and absolutely loves putting all the puzzle pieces together for clients to finally get them answers to their health & chronic symptoms so they can feel confident and free. Alli has deep empathy when working with clients, her number one priority is that the client feels safe and seen in their experience. JoAnna is a functional medicine dietitian, herbalist, and holistic chef. She specializes in women’s health, acne, and PMDD.
As a functional practitioner, she values using a root-cause approach to guide clients to a place of clarity and confidence in achieving optimal health. After years of struggling with acne and PMDD herself she was able to find relief through changes in diet, lifestyle, and working with herbal medicine. Helping other women do the same and reclaim vitality in their health, skin, and body is something she’s very passionate about. In addition to her work as a dietitian, JoAnna is also a fire performer and has her own herbal medicine and pastry business. She loves being creative with cooking and expressing art through movement.

Kathleen is a prior Naval Officer and registered dietitian from the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area with over eight years of clinical experience. She began her career as an outpatient GI dietitian at Children’s National Hospital before transitioning to functional medicine and nutrition, where she now specializes in skin, hormonal, and gastrointestinal conditions. Kathleen’s passion for functional medicine is deeply rooted in her personal health journey. Her own experiences with chronic acne, rashes, vascular discoloration, heavy metal toxicity, gastrointestinal infections, exocrine pancreatic insufficiency, low stomach acid, vagus nerve dysfunction, chronic fatigue, hormonal imbalances, fertility challenges, and toxic mold exposure while living in military housing have shaped her dedication to helping others find healing and hope. Marissa is a Licensed Esthetician and Certified Acne Specialist with over 8 years of experience helping clients achieve clear, healthy skin through strategic skincare routines and ingredient education. She is also the owner of Marissa Lea Skincare, where she works with clients in-person to help them achieve clear, confident skin through customized topical routines and treatments.
Her passion comes from working with clients who feel overwhelmed by conflicting skincare advice and frustrated by routines that aren’t delivering results. This led her to focus on simplifying routines, prioritizing skin barrier health, and teaching clients how to choose ingredients that truly support their skin instead of working against it.
When working with clients, her goal is to make skincare feel simple, approachable, and results-driven while helping clients feel confident in the products they are using.
